PolarTec 200 excels in this application as a riding blanket. Being lighter in physical weight, with the added benefit of stretch, than its wool counterpart, Polar Tec is much more comfortable for the horse. It allows better freedom of movement and has less of an effect on the horse's gaits during training. Polar Tec is more durable, lighter, warmer, much better wicking, easier to care for, and more economical than wool. It breaths extremely well and dries a horse off faster than any other fabric
